'A Simple History of Modern India' has been written for the students of Degree and Honours classes of Indian Universitics. It is according to the ne syllabus of Degree Course of the Panjab University. It covers all the top- Indian history since 1707 to meet the requirements of the examinees of Indian Universities and Competitive Examinations.
The Book has been written in a simple style for the benefit of the studen community and is based on the standard works of reputed authors. It tries t present all aspects of different topics related to this period. The material ha been arranged in question and answer form and the treatment of topics is qui exhaustive to enable the students to secure high marks in the examination. the beginning of every chapter, some introductory lines have been given order to acquaint the students with the matter that follow. Also there are poi for revision at the end of every question which will enable the students to rev the whole of their study in less than an hour on the eve of examination.
